Cottage openings
Sir, — Has Mr Pickering lined up some more pensioner cottage openings to embellish the remainder of his election campaign? I understand that one group of cottages recently “officially opened’ has in fact been occupied most of the year, but by some strange coincidence the publicity has been timed for this month. I am sure the pensioners are grateful, but like the rest of the public, not fooled. —• Yours, etc., HONEST JOHN. October 1, 1974.
