Long-winded
One of Mr Harold Hart’s racing pigeons may have set a record for the 370-mile cross-Channel flight from Renees, France—the slowesttime record, that is. “Blue Chip” celebrated at home with a bowl of maize on Sunday, seven years and two months after being released with about 2000 birds at the start of the race.—Leigh, (Lancashire), October 1.
