The New Zealand 350 c.c. motor-cycle road-racing champion, Stewart Avant, of Christchurch, having his first outing on his new water-cooled, four-cylinder TZ750 Yamaha at Ruapuna Park on Sunday. Avant is one of five New Zealand riders invited to compete in the Indonesian grand prix at Djakarta on November 8, 9. and 10. He also has plans to race in the Australian Pan Pacific Cup series in December before concentrating on the New Zealand Marlboro international series.
