ART QUARTER EXHIBITION

The members of the Christchurch Artist’s Quarter are holding their annual exhibition in their new shop, Top Shop Arts, at 536 Tuam Street. Those exhibiting include Maynard McDonald (wood

carving and toys), Woody Woodside (a reproduction Boston rocker), Digs Hargreaves (silver ware), Lindsay and Jenny Blanch-ett-Burton (leather work), Suzanne Turner (weaving), Grant Finch (leather work),

Carin Wilson (wooden sideboard), Noel Gregg (candleholders and grate), David Williams (candles), and Peter Marden (paintings). The picture shows Mrs Marden holding one of her husband’s paintings. The potters, Denys and

Philip Hadfield, are joined by a guest potter, Margaret Pollard (ikebana work), in what “The Press” art critic, G.T.M., describes as the most impressive section of the display. The exhibition will close on October 10.
