SUS6Om more than overseas ! travellers spent in New Zea- i land, according to the latest > figures from the International Monetary- Fund. ' The “IMF. Survey” for I August, in an article on c international tourism, says, that New Zealand’s receipts _ from international tourists during 1973 were SUS7Bm, and expenditure was I SUSI3Bm. The 1972 figures were £US62m and SUSIISm. The Australian tourist trade was even more out off balance, Australians spending] well over double as muchi\ overseas as their overseas] visitors did in Australia —: SUS4B4m in expenditure, I SUS2O6m in receipts. , Candidate.—Mr T.
