Average central city readings taken at the Reserve Bank building for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday were: Sulphur dioxide: 43, low. Smoke: 94, medium. Nitrogen oxides: 78. low. The readings are in micrograms per cubic metre. Levels are:— Smoke: less than 40, low; more than 120, high. Sulphur dioxide: less than 60, low; more than 200, high. Nitrogen oxides: less than 100, low: more than 250, high.
