Farmer finalist
A Canterbury man, Mr B. G. Reed, of Darfieid. is among the four finalists in the 1974 Skellerup Young Fanner of the Year Competition, to be judged in Dunedin on Friday. First prize in the competition is a $4OOO tractor, and a Pacific holiday for two. The total value of prizes is more than $lO,OOO Mr Reed holds a bachelor of agricultural science degree from Lincoln College. and farms more
than 1600 acres of land with his vounger brother. It is a mixed enterprise of sheep, beef, cattle and cropping. Mr Reed ts vice-chairman of the Darfieid branch of the Young Fanners Club.
