Wool levy raised
I (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. The levy on woolgrowers for promotion and research will be raised from today. Woolbrokers, private buyers and other licensed collecting agents will deduct 3 per cent from the growers’ gross wool income. Collection is administered by the Wool Corporation on behalf of the Wool Board. Previously the levy was based on the weight of wool sold —1.55 c a kilogram.
