FOUR MISSING OFF TARANAKI
(N.Z. Press Association) HAWERA, August 12. Four men are still missing off the south Taranaki coast. Their boat, the Fidelis, in which they went fishing on Saturday, was seen upturned today by searchers in an R.N.Z.A.F. Dakota.
The missing men are the boat’s owner, Mr Wally Hawe, a teacher, of Norrnanby, near Hawera, and Messrs Earl Parata, Tai Eraio, and Jack Skipper, all of Kaponga. The search, which began on Saturday evening, will resume at first light tomorrow.
