Another success for AT Lady
The outstanding Radara—Moss Patches bitch, M’Lady. added the South Island heat of the New South Wales St Leger to her impressive record at the Christchurch Greyhound Racing Club’s equalisator meeting on Saturday. M’Lady had been beaten in her heat by the well-bred Shanfort. but she was away best in the final and won comfortably bv a length. The open-class performer, Ben Ulid, finished resolutely alon the rail for second, with one of J. Walsh’s representatives. Res Havoc finishing a handy third. Walsh’s other starter. Shady Havoc, which had been secoi < to Beni Ulid in the second heat, fell during the race. M’Lady will now travel to Auckland next month to contest the national heats of the St Leger The connections of Beni Ulid are also considering sending their charge north for the rich classic. Tip Top confirmed his high rating when he led throughout to win the open flat from Ariki and Smooth View. The South Island champion has now won his last four races.
