(N.Z. Press Association') WELLINGTON. A Sydney soccer club has offered the leading Rothmans National League goalscorer, J. Richardson, of Wellington City $lO,OOO to transfer. Wellington City will make a counter-offer of $2500 to the 21-year-old English-born centre-forward, according to the club manager (Mr A. McLeod). Mr McLeod said that Richardson has until this week-end to make a decision on the offer from the unnamed Sydney club.
Richardson has scored 10 goals in 12 matches. Mr McLeod said Wellington City could not match the Sydney offer, but the club hoped that the striker would want to settle in Wellington.
