Adequate gas from Maui
The Government has assured the New Zealand gas industry that the Maui field will provide it with adequate supplies of natural gas. according to the president of the Gas Association of New Zealand (Mr H. M. Speakman). Mr Speakman, in the latest Issue of “Gas News," says that the Under-Secretary ofj Energy Resources (Mr B. P. MacDonell) told a Gas Association delegation that the association would be taken into the Government’s confidence from the initial plan-, ning stage on the use of Maui gas not committed to the generation of electricity.!;
