RAPIST SOUGHT

The police are looking for a man who raped a woman aged 33, and tied up her and another woman in a flat in Wairakei Road, Bryndwr, on Saturday morning. The man entered the flat through an insecure door in a garage about 1.50 a.m,, and accosted one of the women in a hallway. She was forced into a bedroom where the other woman, aged 28, was tied up with a petticoat. The offence occurred with the 33-year-old woman after he had tied I her hands. The man escaped after taking $l7 from the flat and after tampering with the telephone to prevent the police being called. The women freed themselves and called the police after waking up a neighbour about an hour and a half (later.
