Big win to Canterbury indoor bowlers

The Canterbury indoor bowls team outplayed Otago, 34-14, and retained the A. S. Paterson Trophy on Saturday. Dyer’s St Paul’s team gained an easy victor- in the final of the Bradley Cup fours competition yesterday. His rival skip, P. Thomas (New Brighton R.S.A.), conceded the game with three ends unplayed. From the start, Dyer’s team was in command. It scored five on the first end and was 13-1 clear at half-way. The one-sided contest ended with Dyer ahead by 19-2. Both finalists had hard semi, finals. Dyer beat P. Sepie (St Teresa's). 6-5. after seven ends, while Thomas defeated I. Brown (Spreydon School), 8-7, on an extra end after gaining three points on the previous end to tie the scores.
