N.Z. leading croquet
(N.ZP.A. Staff CerretponOent LONDON. New Zealand and Australia were engaged in a tight struggle after the opening day’s play in their'first threeday Macßobertsorj International Trophy croquet match at Colchester. Heavy rain marred the opening, but some excellent matches were played, and New Zealand led two matches to one, 18-26, 26-24, 26-21. The trophy is contested between New Zealand. Australia and Britain and will be decided on results in a roundrobin series during the next five weeks in which each team plays the other three times. Britain is the holder
