SKI TEAM NAMED
The New Zealand team of seven skiers to compete in two inter* national federation races in Australia later this month and early in August has been named.
J, Jarvis (Hamilton) is the only member of last year’s World Cup team of five in the side, and Miss M. Armstrong (Hawera) is the only other member of the national A squad in the team.
There are three members of the B squad — including M. Unger arid S. Blakely (both Canterbury) — and the other two are recipients of special scholarships. P. Stewart (Canterbury) and W, Lonsdale (Taranaki) received special McKenzie Scholarships to mark the twentieth anniversary of the awards to promising skiers. The team is: Men.—Jarvis, Blakeley, Unger, Stewart,
Lonsdale. Women.— Misses Armstrong, J. Mills (Queenstown). The skiers — except the scholarship winners — will travel at tneir own expense.
