Owner lodges appeal
J. O. Crooks, Jun., of Invercargill, has lodged an appeal with the New Zealand Trotting Conference against a three-year term of disqualification imposed on him after an inquiry held in Invercargill on May 6.,
Crooks was found guilty of administering caffeine to' the horse, Mein Express, which won at Wyndham on March 9. Crooks was also ordered to pay $5OO towards the costs and expenses of the inquiry. No date has been set for the hearing of the appeal.
