PORT TAXI SHORTAGE
Taxi services at Lyttelton were not satisfactory, and people could wait up to an hour for a taxi, Cr G. C. Adams told the Lyttelton Borough Council last evening. The council decided to ask the Ministry of Transport to investigate the problem. The public was not satisfie-1 [with the service, Cr Adams said. Either there was some- | thing the matter with the [roster, or there were not 'enough taxis for the work, land more licences should be I issued, he said.
