Education debate
Sir, —How wonderful to have the refreshing sanity of Mr V. F. Wilkinson’s article, after all the inane theorising that has predominated lately. I thought he talked more sense in his article than all the conferences put together. I only hope that the powers that be will listen to him, rather than to some of the the “brilliant fools” who seem to hold the limelight now. Technically they may be at the top of their fields, but they seem to be almost entirely lacking in “wisdom” which is so much more important.—Yours etc., J. L. C. H. April 25, 1974.
