Sailors make new friends

SAN DIEGO, April 28.
Some British sailors, evidently without a girl in every port, have found an ingenious way to remedy the situation.
A month ago, the Sai ego Naval Station news
petpci piJUICU a viaoouiuu vertisement sent in by a British seaman, which read: “Lonely sailors aboard H.M.S. Kent would like to meet San Diego ladies.” The advertisement was picked up by a local newspaper columnist, and, whether because of the recent visit to San Diego by Prince Charles, or the unconventional appeal, responses poured in.
