The result of the ballot for the election of two directors to the principal board of the A.M.P. Society showed that both New Zealand candidates were defeated. Those elected were Sir Theo Kelly and Mr D. G. F. [MacKay. The unsuccessful [New Zealand candidates [were Mr W. N. Sheat and Mr [W. G. T. Wiggs.
The ballot was conducted in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Papua New Guinea and Fiji. The chairman of the society (Sir Vincent Fairfax) said, “although there was an increase in the number of members who voted this year, the percentage of voters who exercised this right is still small despite the fact the details of the ballot were advertised widely.”
