Plant-out of trees
Twenty thousand . trees were planted by 16 members of the Hokitika scout supporters, with half an hour to spare, in a 24-hour plant-ou'' in Humphreys Valley, near Hokitika, at the week-end. The effort raised more than $7OO for a scout den in Hokitika.
A toy kiwi found during the planting brought another $66 to the fund when it was paraded through the streets of Hokitika with the Greymouth Highland Pipe Band on Saturday evening.
