Steam train journey
(N Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 6. Two J-class steam locomotives would haul a special passenger train—ope’, to the public—from Wellington to Palmerston North and back on May 19, Steam Incorporated said in a statement today. The engines, built in 1939, were used by the Railways Department until October, 1971, for the ChristchurchInvercaigiil overnight expresses.
