SUGAR DISPUTE SETTLED
(N.Z. Press Association) [AUCKLAND, February 18. The overtime dispute at the Chelsea sugar refinery has been settled, but it is expected that tihe sugar shortage will not be overcome for several weeks.
The industrial mediator, in a statement on behalf of the parties to the dispute, said that after negotiations between the company, the union representatives, and the employees at the refinery, agreement had been reached on productivity payments, and the parties would make a joint approach to the Wages Tribunal to have the agreement approved.
