Rapaki jetty restoration

Though the work of restoring the jetty at Rapaki had been “a bit slow getting off the ground,” a reasonably early completion was expected, said the Chief Engineer (Mr J. B. Bushell), at a meeting of the Lyttelton Harbour Board yesterday. He was replying to Mr L. G. Amos, who had asked when the jetty would be completed. Mr Bushel] said that piles and defective beams had been replaced. Replacement of the decking and handrail posts was 40 per cent completed.
