Distributor testing
A new test-rig for car distributors is now’ in use in Britain, and it can accurately measure and record the behaviour of a distributor at all revolutions up to 6000 r.p.m. within two minutes and a half. The rig is more accurate than earlier methods, and can carry out 36 tests in the time previously taken by one, the Ford company says. Company spokesmen say the system has made it possible to discover information about distributor operation that could not be observed or measured by earlier test methods.
