Youth sent to Borstal
A youth, aged 16. who appeared before Mr Justice .Roper in the Supreme Court i yesterday on two charges of i indecent assault on a girl, aged 13, and one of assaultling the girl with intent to commit rape, was sentenced to Borstal training. Mr G. M. Brodie appeared Tor the prisoner who had ■ pleaded guilty to the charges lin the Children’s Court and i was committed to the Suipreme Court for sentence, i His Honour said the offences were serious and that the accused would have been sentenced to a long term of 'imprisonment but for his age.
