E.E.C. coin
The 50p British coin pictured in “The Press” yesterday was issued last year to commemorate Britain joining the European Economic Community, and not to mark the Commonwealth Games.
Several persons, who own similar coins, telephoned “The Press” yesterday. The nine hands on the coin represent the nine countries in the community.
