New rescue co-ordinator
OV.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 6. Inspector D. R. Mowat has been appointed national coordinator of police search and rescue operations and training. Police Headquarters said today. He also becomes police coordinator for Civil Defence. Inspector Mowat was assistant to the former coordinator, Inspector D. Scott, who has been posted to duties in the Wellington police district.
