WALKER FIT

(X.Z. Press Assn.— Copyright) MELBOURNE. M. Walker, who will be the leader of the Australian fast bowling attack on the tour of New Zealand, yesterday passed fitness tests. He passed a six-over bonding test under the eyes of the test selector, Mr S. Loxton on Tuesday'. Walker was examined by an orthopedic surgeon to see if his groin injury had been impaired by the trial, and then had a general medical examination. He passed both examinations. With the New South Wales opening bowler, G. Gilmour, who also passed a test on Tuesday before the chairman of selectors (Mr N. Harvey), after suffering a bruised heel, Walker will leave with the team for New Zealand next Wednesday.
