Invercargill’s dry day
(X.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, Feb. 6. Invercargill was almost a city without water today as the full effects of a series of breaks in the main water artery and pumping equipment :were felt. Late tonight water began to flow back to the city again from the Branxholme pumping station on the Oreti River. But even if there are no further problems, it will take several days to restore the supply to normal.
