Heart surgery in Nigeria

An Egyptian, Mr Magdi : Yakub, who is a consultant [surgeon at the Harefield and [National Heart Hospital in London, led the surgery on a (Nigerian man, and was assisted by three Nigerian surI geons. The operation, watched by .more than 50 other doctors, I is believed also to have been the first open-heart surgery done in black Africa.

Guerrilla’s message A message thrown from the window of the embassy, which is in the same block as the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry, said: “We demand that the Japanese Government send a Japanese airliner to Singapore to carry the four heroes who accomplished the refinery explosion operation at the Shell installations, the men to be carried, with their arms and their hostages, to !
