“Imperialism”

Sir, —May I through your column congratulate Mr Brezhnev for obtaining the highest decoration for his “anti-imperialistic struggle” from the President of Cuba. I would be very pleased if somebody could enlighten me what word is used for his policies in countries such as Kazakh and Uzbek Republic, Poland, Latvia, Republic, Poland, Latvia, Czechoslovakia, East Germany—to mention just very few. However if the word is the same, so then “imperialism” has different meaning for communist countries,—Yours etc., STUDENT OF ENGLISH. February 2, 1974.
