Chess team for Nice
f.V.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. The New Zealand team to attend the world chess Olympic tournament at Nice in June, is: XV. A. Fairhurst (captain). O. Sarapu, P. Garbutt. E. Green, P. Stuart, and G. Kerr. The manager and vice-captain is Mr I. Mitchell. The team was announced in Auckland yesterday by the president of the Chess Association (Mr C. Belton). Eighty countries are expected to take part in the month-long tournament. At the last Olympic chess tournament, in 1972. New' Zealand was forty-fifth.
