Boxers off to U.S.
Two New Zealanders, Ron Jackson (Wellington) and Fisi Brown (Manawatu), have been included in a seven-man Commonwealth boxing team to fight in the United States next week. The others are three 'Nigerians, each a medal winner, and two Australians. The team will oppose a United States amateur side in Reno, Nevada, on February 7, and there is a possibility it will compete in another tournament later.
