Two hurt on roads
Stewart Robert Griffen, aged 17. of 83 Marriotts Road. North New Brighton, suffered head and internal injuries when his motor-cycle and a car collided at the corner of Breezes and Rowses Roads, Aranui, about 8.20 p.m. on Saturday. Mr Griffen was taken to the Christchurch Hospital, where his condition last evening was given as fairly comfortable. Kathryn Grace McLachlan, aged 19, of 36 Springfield Road, St Albans, suffered injuries to the arm. leg, and face in a two-car collision at the intersection of Clarence and Blenheim Roads about 10.15 p.m. on Saturday. She underwent surgery at the Burwood Hospital and was reported last evening in a 'satisfactory condition.
