China tour planned
(N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright) SYDNEY. The former Olympic swimmer, Miss L. McGill, plans to take a team of Australian athletes to China later this year.
Miss McGill, who has just returned to Sydney from Peking, said the Chinese were "mad keen sportsmen,” who would like to see a visiting team of Australian athletes.
She said she had planned to take footballers and golfers, but had changed her plans because some of Australia’s sports had no following in China.
