Features of the Air New Zealand DCS which tlew the Queen. Princess Anne and Captain Mark Phillips to Christchurch from Rarotonga yesterday included a Royal compartment, complete with a separate dressing-' room. The Royal compartment, in which the Royal visitors! travelled, was in the forward part of the aircraft, in place of the usual first-class cabin. i the floor in the middle of the cabin—on it, the Queen I was served lunch during the .flight. The lunch menu included lamb cutlets, game pie, cold turkey, vegetables, salad, fresh strawberries, land cheeses. The lunch I wine-list included a leading ; French sweet white wine, [Chateau d’Yquem, champagne, and three New Zealand wines. shall, and the chairman of Air New Zealand (Sir Geoffrey Roberts) and Lady Roberts, travelled in the body of the aircraft, behind the Royal compartment. In command of the aircraft was Flight Captain R. T. Johnson, of Auckland, aged 36. The co-pilot was Training Captain D. Aarons, of Auckland, and the crew included the airline’s chief navigator, Mr L. A. Lawton, who navigated one of the first aircraft to land on the original Rarotonga landing strip 30 years ago. The airliner’s cabin crew included a Rarotongan girl, Miss Rosemary Macquarie, who joined Air New Zealand only three months ago. She is the company’s first Cook !Islands-born hostess.
