Cushan out for season
There is little chance of the smart pacer, Cushan. racing again this season. A fractured splint bone, which had been bothering him on and off for the last few months, was removed during an operation. His Southbridge trainer, M. M. Purdon, said the Garrison Hanover gelding would need three months’ spell before being tried again. Cushan raced only six times this season, winning at Tirnaru and Addington and being placed at Forbury Park.
