At the Games today

The meeting of the New Zealander, Lance Revill, with Alexander Harrison, of Scotland, in the first light middleweight semi-final will attract particular attention when the Games boxing is continued this afternoon. Revill, who impressed with his win over Langol, of Uganda, will find the tough Scot a much harder man to beat. Bill Byrne, of New Zealand, will meet the Nigerian,

Isaac Ikhuoria, in the second semi-final of the light heavyweight division. Ikhuoria, who is a very heavy puncher, will test Byrne’s boxing skill. In the light-weight semifinals, the New Zealander, Robert Colley, will meet Ayub Kalule, of Uganda. If Colley boxes as well as he did in his earlier fight, he Auld beat the Ugandan. Carl Speare (England) and Frankie Lucas (St Vincent) should provide one of the best fights of the day when they meet in the middleweight semi-final. SHOOTING

Still closely bunched after the first two stages, the 16 qualifiers for the final stage over 900 yards and 1000 yards in the fullbore rifle shoot will face their sternest test at West Melton this afternoon. Both New Zealand marksmen, Maurice Gordon and Frank Godfrey, qualified comfortably. CYCLING

The second phase of the track-cycling begins at Denton Park this afternoon with the team events: the tandem and 4000 metres team pursuit. For England, it should herald the beginning of a pursuit for another gold medal, as its team — runner-up to West Germany in the world championships last year—is a clear frontrunner for the 4000 metres title. With the scratching of Jersey from the tandem, only four teams are competing, and the unusual method of having each pair ride a time trial will decide the semifinal matchings. The semi-finals of both events will be this evening.

WRESTLING Elimination bouts in the wrestling begin this morning. The top three will be found in each section to compete in round-robin competition for the medals. The finals are this evening.
