TELEVISION CONTRACT

The English Rugby League will sign a three-year contract worth more than $500,000 with the 8.8. C. to televise matches.
The contract will come up for approval at a Rugby League council meeting in Salford on? February 7.
The three-year contract replaces a four-year contract worth considerably less. The television of Rugby league matches has caused controversy, but the new contract is expected to be approved simply because of its cash value to the clubs.
