C. Chee in N.Z. squad

WELLINGTON. There are two newcomers lto international softball in the New Zealand men’s team to play the touring Western United States All Stars side in the first test at Lower Hutt on February 24.
The Southland outfielder, C. McDonald, and the Canterbury third baseman, G. Chee are in the 12-man squad chosen by the selectors (Messrs R. O. Hay, R. R. Dalton and L. T. Baldwin. The team is:
Pitchers. K. F. Herllhy (Waikatoi, J. Dawson (Hutt Valley); catcher. T. J. Nunns (Hutt Valley); infielders, D. P. Sorenson (Hutt Valley, captain), W. P. Baldwin (Hutt Valley). B. W. McLean (Hawke's Bay), C. E. Mossman (Waikato); outfielders, B. Nichols (Wellington), D. R. Cheyne (Wellington), C. McDonald (Southland); Utilities, P. J. Priddey (Wellington) and C. Chee (Canterbury’).
Week of tennis,— l. Nastase (Rumania) and J. Newcombe (Australia) lead a field of 84 of fhe world’s best players in the SUSIOO,OOO United States professional indoor tennis championships, which will start today In Philadelphia and end on Sunday.
