Kelliher judge

The Australian artist, Sir William Dargie, will be the sole judge for the Kelliher art competition this year. About 360 entries have been received for the competition, which will be held in Dunedin. The exhibition will open on February 9. Sir William Dargie is the former chairman of the Commonwealth Art Advisory Council in Canberra, and has been commissioned several times to paint the Queen and other members of the Royal family.

A few years ago Sir William Dargie spent some time in New Zealand painting landscapes of the South Island.
