Petro-chemical plant plan

NEW PLYMOUTH, Jan. 15.
The Government is consid-j ering a number of proposals! to establish petro-chemical; industries in Taranaki, based: on the Maui gasfield. It was studying a firm proposition from the New Plymouth company Ivon Watkins Dow, but other groups were interested and were making submissions, the Minister of Energy Resources (Mr Freer) said in' an interview today. A decision would be made early this year.
