WELLINGTON, Jan.. 15. A piece of rock from the I Moon was presented to the Governor-General (Sir Denis I Blundell) in Wellington today. I The rock was part of a Isample collected in the Taurus Littrow Valley by' the Apollo 17 astronauts during their expedition in December, 1972. The rock and a small New Zealand flag, which went to the Moon aboard Apollo 17, both attached to a plaque, are gifts from the people of the United States to the people of New Zealand. The presentation was made by Miss B. Allan, aged 17, of Dunedin, one of 80 overseas school pupils who were guests of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration at the launching of Apollo 17.
