SOME GOOD RISES ON MAINLY WEAKER N.Z. MARKET

Trading was easier again in busier trading on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday. Rises were relatively few in number and they were mainly in the building, pastoral and retailing sections of the market. The leaders remained weak with some moderately large losses.

Daily volume A total of 121,250 shares was sold on New Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, 3390 more than on Monday. Industrial issues totalled 112,550 (Monday 101,360) and mining issues 8700 (Monday 16,500).
