<y.Z. Pr«»» Atioeiationt DUNEDIN, January 14. Scottish artists took the honours in the Commonwealth Paraplegic Games art and crafts, exhibition, which was judged at the Otago Museum today. M. Rinaldi won the gold medal in the painting section, with an oil “Heimaey”; James Laird, with a stone sculpture of a horse, was awarded the gold m the sculpture section,' and Jim Buchanan, who is I also competing for Scotland in the Paraplegic Games, took the silver medal with, his wood sculpture. “Delinquent." Two New Zealand artists won medals in the exhibition —Campbell Waghom. a silver for his oil “Landscape.” and W. H. Jones, a bronze in the crafts section for a display of leatherwork. The judges were particularly pleased with the sculpture. although they felt that standards in the painting and crafts sections could have; been higher. They were disappointed that there were no entries' from Australia, but commen-

ted that the artistic aspect of the Games could, with benefit to the paraplegics, become increasingly important.
