Bikies wend way north
(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Jan. 4. About 30 motor-cyclists, on bail after an incident in Christchurch, arrived in Wellington on the Rangatira from Lyttelton this morning. After breakfast at the railway station, they rode north, shadowed by police cars. At Palmerston North, i police from other areas took over from the Wellington police. The motor-cyclists came from Auckland and Napier. Another eight motorcyclists arrived in Wellington on the Picton ferry Aramoana last night, and police said this group was also orderly.
