MONTH OF TRAINING Yacht cup challenger
The crew of Miss Stars Travel, the Canterbury challenger for the Little America’s Cup, will have almost a month to adjust to Australian conditions before the international series begins off Sorrento, Victoria, on February 9. C. Papps and W. Hende, accompanied by a former triple winner of the Kay Daniels Trophy open event at the national championships, Mr R. J. Skelton (Nelson) — he will be the New Zealand delegate on the panel of judges — will leave Christchurch for Melbourne on January 12. They will have the opportunity to assess the Australian trials, which begin a day or two later, and will be joined by the third member of the Westcant syndicate, W. R. Nolan, on January 20.
The C class catamaran will be packed ready for shipment next week-end, and will be in Melbourne nearly a week before the arrival of its crew.
