(A'.Z. Press Association) INVERCARGILL, November 15. Prices for a number of wool lines at Invercargill today were higher than at the Dunedin sale on Monday. The market was firm for crossbred ewe fleece and crossbred shorn hogget of better style, but poorer crossbred shorn hogget fleece was in buyers’ favour. Crossbred woolly hogget fleece was 2 J per cent dearer, and bulky and short oddments up to 2 i per cent dearer. Competition came mainly from Eastern and Western Europe, with assistance from Bradford on sound woolly hogget of good length and also from New Zealand carpet mills. The official report said the

11,522 bales offered comprised 25 per cent ewe fleece, 32 per cent shorn hogget fleece, 11 per cent woolly hogget fleece, and the balance in oddments. The wool was rather plain, showing tenderness and slight cotting. The colour was average, apart from some particularly good lots.
